Once you have bonded a shield to yourself, you can't be disarmed of that shield unless you are incapacitated. You can summon that shield as a bonus action on your turn, causing it to teleport instantly to your hand. This shield is considered a simple weapon and you can attack with it as you would with any other strength-based weapon. When you hit with an attack using this shield it deals 1d6 bludgeoning damage. It gains the thrown property with a normal range of 20 feet and a long range of 60 feet.
Proficiency with a Trident allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Topple. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 plus the ability modifier used to make the attack roll and your Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, the creature has the Prone condition.
Notes: Melee Weapon Attack: Bludgeoning, Ranged Weapon Attack: Bludgeoning, Thrown, Versatile, Topple
