Produced by a special needle, this magic tattoo appears on your body as an ornate-looking tower shield.
Tattoo Attunement. To attune to this item, you hold the needle to your skin where you want the tattoo to appear, pressing the needle there throughout the attunement process. When the attunement is complete, the needle turns into the ink that becomes the tattoo, which appears on the skin.
If your attunement to the tattoo ends, the tattoo vanishes, and the needle reappears in your space.
Shielded Skin. While this tattoo is on your skin, you gain +1 to AC.
Aegis. As a bonus action, you can summon forth a spectral shield into your hand. This shield grants a bonus to your AC equal to your Proficiency Bonus for 10 minutes, or until you chose to dismiss it on your turn (no action required). While this shield is summoned, you do not gain the bonus to AC provided by Shielded Skin. Once you summon a shield in this way, you may not do so again until the next dawn.
