This weapon does 1D8 + (X) with (X) being the current modifier, Slashing Damage when wielded in one hand, or  1D10 + (X) with (X) being the current modifier when wielded with two. 

Every Consecutive attack made as an action or bonus action with this weapon increases the Attack and Damage modifiers by 1 after each attack to a maximum modifier of +5. The streak ends if you do anything other than attack with the sword as an action or bonus action, resetting the streak to +2

Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
