Weapon (rapier), rare (requires attunement by a Bard)

Under normal circumstances, this rapier appears as a work of art.  Masterfully constructed with strong and well-balanced materials, utilizing this blade is an inspiration to the artistry of sword handling.  Three times per short rest, if you are struck by a melee attack you can use your reaction to roll 1d10 plus your performance skill to unleash a series of parries.  You reduce the damage taken by the melee attack by the value you roll, and if the damage is reduced to zero you then redirect the damage onto the attacker.

Proficiency with a Rapier allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.

Notes: Bonus: Magic Item Attack With Charisma, Proficiency: Rapier, The art of swordsmanship floods the mind and body of the wielder. For 1 minute, the bard is able to channel their performance skill into their strikes and parries, the bard cannot use this again until a short period of rest., Bard, Damage, Combat, Finesse, Vex
