Ankairn Staff

The Ankairn staff is obtained once the Ankai is tamed. It will remain dormant in its staff form until awakened. When the Ankai is awake, it will be required to be doused every 2 hours in order to stay awake, if it remains undoused after 2 hours, then it will become dormant, and won't be able to awaken until it has been doused and 4 hours have passed. Also, the Ankai can only remain awake for 8 hours at most.

While in its staff form, it can go 8 hours without being doused; if after 8 hours it remained undoused, it will become still and unusable for 3 days and until it is doused. while in its staff form, the Ankairn staff has 120 hitpoints, and instead of dying, the staff, or Ankai, will merely break and can be reconstructed by placing most of the pieces back together, completely submerged in water, and waiting a full 24 hours. Remaining pieces of the staff or Ankai will begin to float back being held in orbs of glowing water, the orbs have the ability to burn through walls and any other obstacle in their way until it returns to the rest of the staff, where it will float back into place, and begin merging with the rest of the staff before ultimately being fully repaired. A short rest will be required before using the staff again. 

An action can be expended to awaken the staff, which reanimates the Ankai, and allows it to act as a separate creature, but still controlled by the user. The Ankai and Ankairn staff will not be able to use their lair actions but have their other abilities and actions. 

Spell slots are reset after a long rest, and 2 first-level spell slots are regained after a short rest. The staff/Ankai is considered its own separate entity/creature and must roll for initiative, or must follow directly after the user. The user will roll for the staff/Ankai and decide what it will do.

Notes: Immunity: Petrified, Immunity: Poisoned, Vulnerability: Piercing, Resistance: Cold, Language: Celestial, Language: Deep Speech, Language: Telepathy, Activating the Ankai counts as one of the charges
