Wondrous Item, uncommon (requires attunement)

The Amulet of the Beam is a white clockwork crescent hanging on a thin cord. A creature attuned to the Amulet of the Beam use its action to make DC 14 Intelligence(tinker's tools) check. On a success, the creatures casts the Moonbeam spell(save DC 15). On a critical success, the creature instead casts Disintegrate(save DC 15). On a critical failure, the creature suffers 2d12 lightning damage and automatically fails all checks to use the Amulet for 1d4 hour(s).

Cursed. When a creature attunes to the Amulet of the Beam, the amulet binds itself to the wearer and can only be removed with a successful DC 30 Strength check. Any metal items the attuned creature is wearing or carrying are covered in a magic rust similar to russet mold. Any humanoid or beast that starts its turn within 5ft. of the creature must make a DC 13 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the creature will spawn 1d4 Vegepygmy(if humanoid) or 1 Thorny(if beast) when it dies. Additionally, when a creature completes a long rest while attuned to this item, they must succeed a DC 13 constitution saving throw. On a failed save, it is poisoned. While poisoned in this way, a creature takes 7 (2d6) poison damage at the start of each of its turns. A creature may repeat this saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. A humanoid that dies while poisoned in this way also spawns 1d4 Vegepygmy 24 hours later.

A creature in direct sunlight automatically succeeds its saving throws against this curse, and the effects of the curse are suppressed for a creature standing in direct sunlight.
