This black-iron staff looks to have a pair of golden rings dangling from either end. It feels a lot heavier than it ought to. Said to be the weapon of a legendary warrior, it's a wonder how such a fighting implement is able to be used.
You gain +3 to attack and damage rolls you make with this magic quarterstaff.
Sentient. This quarterstaff is a sentient Chaotic Good weapon with an INT score of 17, WIS score of 12, and a CHA score of 13. It has hearing and vision out to 120 ft., and can speak its wielder's languages, as well as Common, Celestial, and Abyssal, all out to 30 ft.
Personality. The sentient being within this quarterstaff acts rather cocky, and is always wanting to start a fight, but will hold back if its wielder says so. Its purpose is to uncover the mystery of how its consciousness found itself in the staff, and will do anything to learn of such a method. It will only lend its power to someone that can prove that they can handle themselves in a fight.
Monkey King's Strength. While attuned to this quarterstaff, your Strength score is 28, and your new maximum for this score is 30.
Monkey King's Strikes. When you take the Attack action on your turn, you can make two extra attacks on your turn, on top of those given to you by your Extra Attack feature.
Iron Pillar. As an action, you can cast the quarterstaff out in front of you, and cause it to grow in size into a massive iron pillar that is 30 ft. long, 5 ft. wide, and weighs upwards of 17,000 pounds. If there is not enough room for the staff to grow to its full size, it instead grows as large as is feasible in its current location, and becomes as large as possible immediately when given enough room. You can wield this pillar as easily as you could in its quarterstaff form. While the quarterstaff is transformed in this way, you deal an additional 2d12 bludgeoning damage on a hit. This transformation lasts for 1 minute, until you are Incapacitated, or until you die, after which it reverts to its normal quarterstaff form. Once you cause the staff to transform in this way, you cannot cause it to transform again until the next dawn.
Proficiency with a Quarterstaff allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Topple. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 plus the ability modifier used to make the attack roll and your Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, the creature has the Prone condition.
