Armor of Thorns, Scale Mail

This armor is decorated with small, metal spikes. While wearing this armor, you gain a +1 bonus to AC, and when a creature within 5 feet of you hits you with a melee attack, you can use your reaction to deal 2d4 magical piercing damage to them, as magical purple spikes pulse from the metal ones.

This armor consists of a coat and leggings (and perhaps a separate skirt) of leather covered with overlapping pieces of metal, much like the scales of a fish. The suit includes gauntlets.
