Weapon (handaxe), uncommon (requires attunement by a Only Anguish needs attuned for the purposes of DNDBeyond)

When the two axe's (Anguish and Sorrow) are pulled apart from Hope's End, their powers are awakened with a terrible scream. The handles are mangled and twisted. The axe heads dripping with shadowed energy. 

You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

In addition, when both axes make a hit in an action, deal an additional 1d4 psychic damage to the target.

Once per day, the axes can be held together and pointed at a target casting  Dissonant Whispers at first level without verbal component.

Proficiency with a Handaxe allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
