An odd rapier with a small button hidden in the design of the guard. When the pommel is uncapped, a small space for a vial of poison is revealed. When a vial of liquid poison is placed in the space and the button is pressed, poison flows through a small channel in the blade and out tiny holes, coating the blade in poison for 1d4+1 attacks. Lasts one hour. Instead of normal Rapier damage, 1d4+Finesse piercing damage.
Comes with 4 vials of Bitter Blood Poison, and 2 vials of Sleeping Spider Extract if it’s bought firsthand. Could be found nearby if gotten second hand. Anything used with the Assassin’s rapier must have an effect on contact with skin or when injected into the bloodstream.
The Assassin’s Rapier is compatible with Bitter Blood Poison, Duke’s Downfall Poison, Sleeping Spider Extract, Lifebane, and Drop of Sunlight. The Assassin’s Rapier may be compatible with other poisons, potions, or liquids at the DMs discretion. I would suggest not using acid.
Proficiency with a Rapier allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
Notes: Proficiency: Martial Weapons, Price: 1600 gold, Finesse, Vex
