The Amulet of Punctuality functions as a pocket watch with an enchanted timepiece inside which accurately displays the date and time in any location decided upon by the wearer and can send papers to and from that location. Often used by plane travelers and those who travel far for business, it resembles a golden or silver pocket watch with intricate scrolling and runes on its lining and a map of the sun and moon in the center. Affixed to the top is a precious gem.
Pressing the gem like a button causes a small compartment to open, into which pieces of paper may be magically transported to the location to which the wearer has chosen during attunement. this feature cannot be used again for 1d8 +2 hours.
Similarly, this feature can be used to receive parchments from the same location. Any papers placed in the location to which it is attuned will be magically transported into the same small compartment. The gem atop the amulet will glow when papers are ready to be delivered.
The wearer may set the timepiece to the time in their location of choosing by meditating with it for the duration of a short rest (one hour). The user visualizes a location to which they have previously been and places a small orb of light somewhere they have seen. This orb is visible only to the one meditating and they do not see the location in real time in their visions. They do not see people or hear things, they are only able to see the location itself. If there are discrepancies with what the wearer remembers the location to be, this can cause discrepancies in the Amulet's ability to function or can cause attunement to fail altogether, at the DMs discretion.
It can take up to one hour after the attunement for the amulet to display the time of the new location, dependent on how far away or how complex the time difference is from where the wearer began the meditation, at DM's discretion. The item can be re-attuned once every 1d8 days.
Changing the location to which the Amulet is attuned requires re-attunement.
