Twin shortswords, Archeon a longer wide blade, and Nirvana a shorter almost daggerlike sword with a small canon built into the hilt. Both swords are attuned at once, and count as a single item.
You gain a +2 to attack and damage rolls with this weapon, in addition you deal an extra 1d6 necrotic damage with each attack.
The swords have 9 charges for the following properties. The swords regain 1d4+1 charges at dawn, in addition whenever a living creature is slain with Archeon & Nirvana, their soul is siphoned into the blades, and they regain 1 charge.
Death Dive: While holding the blades, as an action you can expend 2 charges to dash up to 30 feet in a straight line cutting through any creatures in your path. Each creature in a 5 foot wide 30 foot long line must make a DC 15 dexterity saving throw or take 4d6 slashing damage. If you hit at least one creature, you may expend 2 more charges to do an additional Death dive, in addition you may spend 1 charge to do a Hell Slam attack on one target hit by Death Dive.
Hell Slam: While holding the blades, as an action you can expend 1 charge to teleport up to 30 feet to a target you can see. You appear 5 feet above the target, or directly behind them if there is no space above them, and make an attack roll with advantage. If the attack hits the target is knocked prone.
Hidden Cannon: While holding the blades you can fire the hidden cannon in the hilt of Nirvana. This attack can be used as part of the attack action, or as a bonus action with the two weapon fighting feature. The hidden Cannon has a range of 60/120 feet, and deals 1d10 piercing damage.
Dirty Fighting: When you hit with a melee attack, you can expend a charge to fire the hidden cannon in the hilt at point blank range, causing the target to take an additional 2d10 piercing damage. You can spend additional charges to deal an additional 1d10 piercing damage for each charge.
Sink Into Darkness: Once a day when you are hit with an attack, you can expend 3 charges to use your reaction to teleport up to 20 feet away, causing the attack to miss. Afterwards you may immediately spend 2 charges to use your Death Dive ability as part of the same reaction.
Devour Souls
Whenever you use Archeon & Nirvana to reduce a creature to 0 hit points, the sword slays the creature and devours its soul, unless it is a construct or an undead. A creature whose soul has been devoured by it can be restored to life only by a wish spell.
When it devours a soul, Archeon & Nirvana regain 1 expended charge, and is sated for 24 hours.
If you die while wielding Archeon & Nirvana, your soul is absorbed into the blades, and sent to the demon prince Orcus. You can only be resurrected by the wish spell, or through dealings with the demon prince.
Curse
Archeon & Nirvana are cursed with bloodlust. Any creature who attunes to it cannot end attunement or willingly give up the blades unless they are the target of a greater restoration or remove curse spell.
Once drawn the blades thirst for violence, if a creature is not slain with Archeon & Nirvana 10 minutes after drawing them, the wielder must make a DC 10 Wisdom saving throw, or be possessed by the spirit of the dread pirate Cerevantes until a creature is slain on a failed save. On a success the wielder is immune to this effect for 24 hours, and the DC raises by 1. The DC continues to increase until the wielder fails the saving throw, at which point the DC reverts to 10. First time a save is failed, they are possessed for 1 hour, the second time they are possessed for 4 hours, the third fail they are possessed for 24 hours. After the third time cerevantes takes control, every fail the spirit will hold them until they slay a creature.
Sentience
Archeon & Nirvana is a sentient Lawful Evil weapon with an intelligence of 12, a wisdom of 14, and a charisma of 17.
The weapon can speak telepathically to its wielder, and knows all languages of anyone attuned to it, as well as infernal. It's voice is hoarse and gravely, that of a long dead pirate captain.
Personality
Archeon & Nirvana are very crass, and speak down to the wielder with demeaning nick names and insults.
Their purpose is to devour souls and spread as much violence and hate as it can throughout the planes.
Destroying the weapon: Archeon & Nirvana can't be destroyed through regular means. A [monster]Deva[monster] or other powerful celestial can destroy the blade by banishing the wicked soul. The wish spell, or other powerful magic can also destroy Archeon & Nirvana
Proficiency with a Shortsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
