Weapon (shortbow), very rare (requires attunement by a A creature of neutral or evil alignment)

This magical bow emits a quiet, low, rumbling hum, which can be heard if the weapon is held close to your ear.  It appears to be fashioned from the ribs of a large creature, and the bowstring appears to be woven tendons and veins.

This weapon is one of the weapons available to be chosen by operatives from the Plane of Anger when they are sent to other planes.

You have a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

When attuned to this weapon, you gain the following effects:

  • Once per turn, when you hit with an attack from this weapon, you may add 2d6 of fire or psychic damage (your choice).
  • When you switch targets, if the last target you hit with this bow is still alive, you must succeed a DC 14 WIS saving throw or attack your previous target.  This effect ends once you leave the initiative order.
  • Once per day, you may cast Scorching Ray at the level of the highest spell slot your character has (whether or not that slot is used)

Proficiency with a Shortbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.

Notes: Bonus: Magic, A creature of neutral or evil alignment, Damage, Combat, Ammunition, Range, Two-Handed, Vex
