A ancient weapon that utilize the power of light to defeat one's enemies. However, the passage of time has greatly reduced the ability to utilize the weapon . Whenever it is fired more than once, roll a DC 10 Con save. If one fails the save, they take 1d6 fire damage. every subsequent time one tries to fire the rifle, the save is increased by 5, becoming 15, 20, etc. However, if the rifle is not fired for one turn, it can be fired like normal once again at the start of the next turn and the DC is set back to 10 for when it is again fired more than once. If one is proficient in guns, one can add their profiency bonus to their attack.

It’s up to you to decide whether a character has proficiency with a firearm. Characters in most D&D worlds wouldn’t have such proficiency. During their downtime, characters can use the training rules in the Player’s Handbook to acquire proficiency, assuming that they have enough ammunition to keep the weapons working while mastering their use.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.
