The Flare of Lathander is a fine light crossbow, the stock and arms are formed from a dark maroon wood and inset with decorative burnt orange flames surrounding the sun crossed by the three moons. One a hit, the crossbow does an additional 2d4 fire damage.

You have a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

Once per long rest, you can speak a command word and the bolt loaded into the crossbow will glow with a dull red light. If the next attack hits a creature, attacks on that creature are made with advantage until the end of your next turn. This ability recharges at dawn.

While wielding the Flare of Lathander in daylight, you may use a free action on your turn to hide. You can use this ability up to a number of times equal to your proficiency modifier each long rest.

Proficiency with a crossbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.
