Event horizon. As a reaction, you may intercept any attack directed toward you or an ally within 5ft. If it is a ranged attack it is instantly negated. If the attack is melee the attacking creature must succeed on a DC 18 Strength save or the attack will be negated and their weapon is destroyed. This does not affect items of “very rare” or higher rarity.
Quasar (requires attunement). You must possess the “Shield master” feat in order to attune to this magic item. This item has 2 charges. While attuned--instead of using your bonus action to shove--you may expend a charge to fire a beam of burning energy in a 40ft line in front of you. Any creature caught in this line must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or take 5d10 Fire damage or half as much on a success. This item regains 1 charge daily at dawn.
Shields require the Utilize action to Don or Doff. You gain the Armor Class benefit of a Shield only if you have training with it.
