This greatsword has a resplendent golden hilt and a blade of gleaming, magical platinum that shines like a mirror. It contains the soul of an ancient gold dragon that once served Bahamut in the guise of a golden canary, but who decided to imprison himself in this blade as penance for a misdeed centuries ago.
While grasping the hilt, you can use a bonus action to make the blade glow like the sun.
You gain a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon, and while it's glowing, it deals radiant damage instead of slashing damage. When you hit a fiend or an undead with it, that creature takes an extra 2d10 radiant damage.
While you hold the drawn sword, it creates an aura in a 10-foot radius around you. You and all creatures friendly to you in the aura have advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects. If you have 17 or more levels in the paladin class, the radius of the aura increases to 30 feet.
Sentience
Aurix Bahamuthi is a sentient lawful good weapon with an Intelligence of 18, a Wisdom of 17, and a Charisma of 24. It has hearing and darkvision out to a range of 120 feet, and blindsight out to a range of 60 feet.
The weapon can speak, read, and understand Common, and can communicate with its wielder telepathically. Its voice is deep and echoing. While you are attuned to it, Aurix Bahamuthi also understands every language you know.
Personality
Aurix Bahamuthi speaks with a humble, yet sagacious tone. He is accustomed to obeying orders, but his millennia of experience cause him to be shrewd and thorough in his judgements.
The soul within the blade seeks to accomplish a great deed, one that may allow him to redeem himself. However, it will absolutely not tolerate actions that go against Bahamut's tenets, and if one is done, a conflict between it and its wielder occurs at the next sunset.
Proficiency with a Greatsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Graze. If your attack roll with this weapon misses a creature, you can deal damage to that creature equal to the ability modifier you used to make the attack roll. This damage is the same type dealt by the weapon, and the damage can be increased only by increasing the ability modifier.
Notes: Bonus: Magic, Damage: Radiant, Advantage: Saving Throws, Replace Damage Type: Radiant, Paladin, Damage, Combat, Warding, Heavy, Two-Handed, Graze
