Armor (half plate), rare (requires attunement)

This armor consists of a chain shirt and layered pieces of metal plating kept in place with buckles and straps. Blood, rust, and mud stains the metal due to the inherent abuse from its previous owners. While wearing the armor, you become obsessed with the killing of a certain type of creature (chosen by the DM) (goblins, spiders, trolls, etc.). You have advantage on Wisdom (Survival) rolls made to track your obsession, and deal an extra 1d6 damage with attacks made against them. Additionally, you can use your reaction to make a single melee weapon attack if your obsession deals damage to you.

Curse. Once you don this cursed armor, you can't doff it unless you are targeted by the remove curse spell or similar magic. If you wear this armor for a full week, you also gain new personality traits, determined by choosing at least one from each of the following tables. These traits override any conflicting personality trait, ideal, bond, or flaw.

Personality Trait

I don't care how messy things get during a battle.

I constantly compare the hunting of any creature to that of my obsession.

I have a thousand reasons why the killing I do is justified.

Ideals

Genocide. My obsession must be killed by any means necessary.

Antipathy. If you sympathize with my obsession, you are also the enemy.

Priority. A single second not spent towards the killing of my obsession is a second wasted.

Bonds

I must keep a journal of the knowledge I've collected of my obsession.

Visions of the Slayer Armor's previous owner occasionally flash in my mind.

I've lost all desire for earthly pleasures.

Flaws

I'll take on a hundred of my obsession at once if it means I can kill at least one.

I can't focus on anything other than the destruction of my obsession.

Once I've made up my mind, nobody can ever change it. Not even myself.

Half plate consists of shaped metal plates that cover most of the wearer's body. It does not include leg protection beyond simple greaves that are attached with leather straps.

Notes: Bonus: Armor Class, Advantage: Survival, Damage: Force, Combat, Warding, Stealth Disadvantage
