This artificial eye replaces a real one that was lost or removed. While the removable ersatz eye is embedded in your eye socket and you're attuned to it, it can’t be removed by anyone other than yourself, and you can see through the tiny sphere as if it were a normal eye, even when it's not in your eye socket. If you don't have it already, you also gain Darkvision out to a range of 60 ft.
