This bow is made of a nondescript grey wood. It has a plaited leather thong as its grip. Nothing reveals its unusual nature other than two small emeralds set into the wood, and sticking through the weave of the leather thong.
The Grey Singer is a +3 magic longbow which enables the casting of the Swift Quiver (1 charge) or Foresight (3 charges) spells on the wielder only. The Grey Singer has 5 charges, which reset at dawn. In addition, Grey Singer will warn its wielder of approaching danger. While carry the weapon, you have advantage on initiative rolls, and cannot be surprised while you are within 30 feet of the bow, except when incapacitated by something other than non-magical sleep. The weapon magically awakens you if you are sleeping naturally when combat begins. In addition to its normal piercing damage, the Grey Singer does 1 D8 Radiant damage on a hit.
Proficiency with a Longbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.
