Wondrous Item, artifact

Physical Attributes

With an uneven, jagged appearance, added onto by its salt-water tinge; It is evident that the crystal is extremely ancient. The crystal has multiple cracks in its structure, however, the cracks do not affect stability.

Abilities

If the shard is smashed or broken, the creature who destroys the crystal will perceive time as two times slower. Additionally, the creature will be able to control the shards, turning the shape into a shield or a sword. In the case of a creature not having a limb, the crystals will act as a new limb for the creature. If a crystal stabs a creature,  the creature will take 4d12 poison damage per crystal. The crystals can change form to the user's choice, however, the crystals cannot stretch above 50ft. The effects of the crystal become no longer active after 1 hour after the crystal is broken or if dispel magic is cast at the 6th level. If the crystals are destroyed and/or the crystal's effect expires, the crystal will gradually reform in 2 hours.

Downsides

When the crystal is smashed, roll a d10, this will correspond to the number of crystals that the user is stabbed with, the damage will take effect after the effect of the crystal expires. If the user is missing a limb and dispel magic is cast, the user will lose control of their limb, and/or the replacement limb will disintegrate into powdered crystals, dealing 3d4 piercing damage per turn until healed and becoming prone.
