Aegis of Shadows

Threads of shadow emanate from this amulet that you can weave together, laying them over your skin. You create a barrier of gloom that protects your body. As an action, while not in direct sunlight, you can cast Mage Armor on yourself, without expending a spell slot or material components. In addition you gain temporary hit points equal to your proficiency bonus + a die which depends on the level of light in which you cast the spell. The die is a d4 if in dim light, a d6 if in darkness and a d8 if in magical darkness. Once the amulet has been used to cast this spell, it can’t do so again until the next midnight. If you have the Sunlight Sensitivity trait, you are unaffected by the trait while the armor is up. Magical Sunlight or the amulet being in direct sunlight for more than 1 minute disables the properties of this item for 1d4 days.
