Akela's Amulet

Akela's Amulet is a thin bronze chain with a bronze oval-shaped locket, to the naked eye it seems to be a simple amulet but upon opening the locket there is a deep red jewel embedded inside. Taken from a temple deep in the jungle, a young snake stole this gem and upon touching it, became human. After becoming human, the snake now young girl, forged it into an amulet allowing them to switch between their true form and their desired form.

She named the amulet after her dear friend Akela, a strong wolf leader who gave her the idea to forge the amulet. Over time this amulet was passed down to Akela and his family. The wolf blood began to fade as time went on and Akela's ancestors desired humanity to the wilderness. Eventually Akela's ancestors were no longer part wolf but purely human and had no use for the Amulet. It was passed around throughout the era and ended up in the hands of a great blood hunter known as Cyran Nighthowl. He was struggling with Lycanthropy and learned that the Amulet helped greatly with controlling shifting. 

The amulet can only help shifting into hybrid forms and any help it provides will not be applied when the wearer tries to shift to the pure form of their lycanthropy (wolf, rat, etc.).

Akela's Amulet provides the wearer with advantage on Constitution saving throws regarding shifting and controlling the wearer's mind during a lycanthropy attack. On a failed constitution throw the Amulet lowers the DC for the next Constitution saving throw by 5. When in Hybrid form, wearer can make a DC5 Animal Handling check to speak with Animals and they can speak any languages they can speak in their Humanoid form.
