This laced fabric is reinforced with adamantine strands, one of the hardest substances in existence. While you're wearing it, any critical hit against you becomes a normal hit.

you can only gain this benefit if the user has Unarmored Defense. This is due to the fabric being so fine, most people couldn't benefit from its properties and would get injured regardless however those skilled with dodging blows with nothing have found this innovation to be quite handy.
