If a spellcaster casts a spell of 1st level or higher 30 feet from the arcane projector, it can let it absorb the magical essence of the spell. The caster then can use the arcane projector to, as an action, unleash the magic in a form of arcane projectile to a range of 300 feet. The projectile deals 2d6 force damage for 1st level spell and additional 1d6 for each level above 1st, in a 20-foot radius. This projectile has to be unleashed in 1 minute since the initial casting of the spell or the magic dissipates. Up to four spellcasters can let the projector to absorb a spell they cast, potentially increase the damage they can deal. The spellcaster who casted the first spell decides the direction of the projectile.
This weapon of massive destruction was used in the Age of Arcanum. It was set atop towers from which the projectiles could hit the target easily. The projector itself is a small stone cube with intricate, maze-like patterns on the sides that glow when imbued with magic.
