The Sword of Greed, Avarice, is a weapon that once empowered by its wielder can absorb the form and abilities of other weapons and retain them. It is a weapon that gets stronger along with its wielder, when the wielder finds better weaponry the Sword of Greed will consume it either taking on the weapon's form or its abilities. It can hold onto only three of these abilities at a time and the wielder can choose to swap out abilities for stronger ones, fueling the sword's avarice. What counts as an ability: Any + stat to dmg and to-hit and any feature that is apart of the consumed weapon (ex: sword of warning).
Things like flametongue's bonus damage will be replaced by the higher damage roll, so no stacking dice. The same thing applies to the +1, +2, etc to weapons, the highest one is taken.
The weapon is magical for the purpose of overcoming resistances and immunity.
Proficiency with a Shortsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
Notes: Damage: Lightning, Bonus: Magic, by a martial class, Damage, Utility, Combat, Shapechanging, Sentient, Finesse, Light, Vex
