The Actor's Charm is a small wooden token in which the mask of Comedy is carved on one side and the mask of Tragedy on the other.
Charmed, I'm sure
While in possession of the Actor's Charm, the player gains the benefits of the Actor feat, and their skills of mimicry and dramatics, increase... dramatically.
The player gains the following benefits:
-Increase in Charisma score by 1, to a maximum of 20.
-Advantage on Charisma (Deception) and Charisma (Performance) checks when trying to pass yourself off as a different person.
-Mimicry of the speech of another person or the sounds made by other creatures. The player must have heard the person speaking, or heard the creature make the sound, for at least 1 minute. A successful Wisdom (Insight) check contested by your Charisma (Deception) check allows a listener to determine that the effect is faked.
When Tragedy and comedy strike
Whenever a Persuasion or Performance skill check is made while in the possession of this charm, if a Nat 1 or 2 is rolled on both rolls, Tasha's Hideous Laughter is cast upon the user. There is no saving throw against the initial effect, but subsequent saving throws can be made after the first round.
Stage Makeup, please!
While in possession of the Actor's Charm, the spell Disguise Self can be cast twice per day. When the spell is cast, one mask briefly glows shining a dim light in a 5' radius for one round. If the spell is cast a second time in the same day, the other mask glows in the same fashion.
Notes: Feat: Actor, Advantage: Performance, Advantage: Deception, Bonus: Charisma Score, Shapechanging, Bard, enchantment
