Staff, rare (requires attunement by a a wizard or sorcerer)

This wooden staff appears ancient and gnarled, covered in indecipherable runic equations.

The staff has 10 charges for the following properties. The staff regains 1d6 + 4 expended charges each day at dusk. If you expend the staff’s last charge, roll a d20. On a 1, the staff crumbles to dust and is destroyed.

With the staff in hand, you can perform one of the following actions:

  • Motion (2 charges) cast levitate
  • Force (1 charge per target), as an action, choose a number of targets within 60' of you. Each target makes an Int saving throw, any that fail are pushed 30' away from you.
  • Opposition (1 charge) whenever you are critically hit by an attacker within 5' of you, you may use your reaction to negate the critical and deal 2d6 force damage to the attacker.
