This pair of dark brown goggles with Dark black lenses allow the user who attunes to them to see every hidden detail about something they look at.
The wearer can use them as sunglasses, negating Sunlight Sensitivity when applicable, or when attuned, can see all magical fields as if they had a permanent Detect Magic spell cast, but have to make a successful Arcana check of DC 10+spell/item effect level, to ascertain general details about the item.
For example, seeing someone with a +1 magical longsword could make a check and see it as a magical sword. Or someone could pass by with a Cloak of Elvenkind and see that it has a magical effect of something similar to Abjuration, though what exactly is unclear.
Once per day the wearer, regardless of class, can use the goggles to cast one of the following spells/effects in the following manner:
See hidden doors or traps (specify before activating this effect) for 10 minutes in a 30 foot radius
Identify on an item they are looking at. Doing so is considered a ritual though and takes 11 minutes to use both effects respectfully.
If the wearer tries to use the effect again before their next long rest/once per day slot, they must make a Wisdom save (DC 15) or suffer the effects of the Blindness spell for 1d8 hours and suffer 1d12 points of psychic damage. The Blindness cannot be cured by anything but a Wish spell or healing from a greater deity. If they succeed the save, no damage is taken but the DC goes up by 2 until the timer resets.
Notes: Damage: Psychic, Blinded, Any
