Plate armor consists of shaped, interlocking metal plates covering the body.

A half-suit of plate armor includes a padded gambeson, a plate cuirass with fauld and culet, spaulders, pauldrons, and articulated plate covering elbows and forearms. Half armor is completed with full plate gauntlets, heavy leather boots, and a padded open-faced helmet.

Half plate consists of shaped metal plates that cover most of the wearer's body. It does not include leg protection beyond simple greaves that are attached with leather straps.
