The hilt of the Alneweck's pride is wrapped in red leather, and small runes are engraved on the edge of the steel blade. When ignited a new set of runes appear down the center of the blade. The pommel shifts to fit the personality of whoever is attuned to it. You can use a bonus action to speak the command word, causing the blade to ignite. These flames shed bright light in a 40-foot radius and dim light for an additional 40 feet. While the sword is ablaze, it deals an extra 2d6 fire damage to any target it hits. The flames last until you use a bonus action to speak the command word again or until you drop or sheath the sword.
The Infernal Wolf. The sword has 13 charges, and it regains all expended charges daily at dawn. You can use the charges in the following ways while wielding it:
- As an action you can expend 5 charges to become ingulfed in magical flames for 1 minute. While ignited in this way you are immune to fire damage and resistant to cold damage. In addition, whenever a creature within 5 feet of you hits you with a melee attack, the flames covering you blast towards the attacker, taking the form of a ravenous flaming wolf as it counter-attacks. The attacker takes 4d8 fire damage.
- As an action you can expend 4 charges to drag the blade against the ground before slicing in a upward motion, making the flames leap from the blade. The flames take the form of a large flaming wolf charging forward in a 60-foot line that is 10 feet wide. Each creature in that line must make a DC 19 Dexterity saving throw, taking 42 (12d6) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
- As a bonus action you can expend 2 charges to make the flames on the blade extend outwards, lengthening the reach your attacks have. For the rest of your turn your attack range is 5 feet greater than normal. In addition while the sword is lengthened this way the extra 2d6 fire damage you deal per attack is increased to 2d8 fire damage.
Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
