This small, icy orb is cold to the touch, with snow flurrying around it. While it is on your person, you have immunity to cold damage, and you ignore difficult terrain created by ice or snow. The orb has 24 charges, and it regains 3d6 + 6 charges daily at dawn.
Spells. While holding the orb, you can use an action to expend some of its charges to cast one of the following spells from it, using your spell save DC and spellcasting ability: cone of cold (5 charges), fire shield (4 charges; chill shield only), ice knife (1 charge), ice storm (4 charges), Otiluke's freezing sphere (6 charges), wall of ice (6 charges). You can also cast the frostbite and ray of frost cantrips at will while holding the orb.
Frigid Aura. While holding the orb, you can use an action to expend 6 charges to create a raging blizzard around you, extending 30 feet in all directions from you, around corners but not through total cover. Swirling ice and snow make aura's area is difficult terrain and heavily obscure the area to all creatures except you. Strong winds blow through the aura, extinguishing exposed flames and imposing disadvantage on ranged weapon attack rolls that enter, exit, or pass through the aura. Any creature (other than you) in the aura when you create it or that starts its turn there must make a Constitution saving throw, taking 5d8 cold damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful save. In addition, on a failed save, a creature's speed is reduced to 10 feet until it spends at least 1 minute outside the aura. The aura lasts for 10 minutes or until you use a bonus action to end it.
Glacial Form. You can use your action while holding the orb to coat yourself in ice, taking on strength and durability reminiscent of a glacier. This form lasts for 1 minute or until you end it as a bonus action. While in this form, your walking speed is reduced by 10 feet, but you gain advantage on Strength and Constitution checks and saving throws. You also have resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage from nonmagical attacks while in this form. In addition, you cannot be moved along the ground against your will, and any creature that hits you with a melee attack while within 5 feet of you takes 2d6 cold damage. You cannot use this feature of the orb while the Frigid Aura feature is active, and once you use this feature, it cannot be used again until the next dawn.
