Armour of the Fallen

Armour fashioned from the magically bound bones and sinews of the dead. A Cleric, Warlock, or Wizard acquainted with the magic of death may simultaneously craft and attune to such an article. Creating Armour of the Fallen requires the bones of at least one large creature, two medium creatures or four small creatures, and a ritual performed over one hour or as part of a long rest. The practitioner who crafts and attunes to the Armour of the Fallen is proficient with it. If they become unattuned to it, the magic holding it together dissipates and the armour falls apart.

You have a +1 bonus to your AC while wearing this armour. In addition, you have resistance to necrotic damage. If you are also wielding a Shield of the Fallen, you instead have immunity to necrotic damage.

If you suffer 10 or more bludgeoning damage in one round while wearing the Armour of the Fallen, the armour suffers a cumulative -1 penalty to its AC bonus. If its AC is reduced by -3, the armour is destroyed.

If you cast the mending cantrip on the armour, it repairs 1 point to its AC. Doing so requires you to have the bones of a small or bigger creature with which to affect repairs. If another creature attempts to repair the armour in this way, the spell has no effect.

You can use a bonus action to pull a small piece of bone, such as a finger or toe bone, from the armour. Doing so does not degrade the armour in any way. The bone weighs 1 lb, and may serve any purpose requiring such a material component. The bone may also be used to craft a Wand of the Fallen, or an Athame of the Fallen.

This crude armor consists of thick furs and pelts.

Notes: Resistance: Necrotic, Bonus: Armor Class, Proficiency: Self, Cleric of the Death domain, a Warlock of the Undead or Undying, or a Wizard of the Necromancy school, Combat, Warding
