Common and cheaply made, Alchemical Indicator is a white, chalky substance used by Alchemists everywhere to divine whether or not magic is present in a substance or compound.
If Alchemical Indicator is sprinkled within 5 feet of any magical object or creature, it turns a deep red color after one round, unless it is separated by 3 feet of wood or dirt, 1 foot of stone, 1 inch of common metal, or a thin layer of lead.
