Weapon (rifle, hunting), legendary (requires attunement by a player using Ashni to kill and unaware foe)

A scoped long-rifle with a bound lightning elemental at its core
Unattuned acts as a +1 Hunting rifle

Ashni has 14 charges, expend 1 charge/shot. Ashni regains 2 expended charges/hour it is not in use.

Must have direct line of sight to hit. Cannot fire through any kind of physical obscurity, mist/fog
(magical or natural) or other non-physical means of obscurity can be fired through with normal penalties applied.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When attuned:

-On critical hit a medium sized target or smaller is paralysed, large or bigger must pass a DC15 CON save or suffer the same condition.

-You may release the full potential of the elemental bound in the weapons core to cast Chain Lighting

It’s up to you to decide whether a character has proficiency with a firearm. Characters in most D&D worlds wouldn’t have such proficiency. During their downtime, characters can use the training rules in the Player’s Handbook to acquire proficiency, assuming that they have enough ammunition to keep the weapons working while mastering their use.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.

Notes: Replace Damage Type: Lightning, player using Ashni to kill and unaware foe, Range, Two-Handed, Ammunition (Firearms), Reload, Slow
