These bronze tridents, adorned with reliefs carved in the shape of sea serpents, were often found in the hands of elite guards and commanders. The weapon's power is generated by an Atlantean crystal embedded in the haft; if this is removed, it retains its enhancement bonus and becomes a +1 magic trident with no other special abilities.
You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this trident. This trident has 6 charges and regains 1d6 charges each day. It also regains 1d4 charges whenever you roll a natural 20 on an attack using the trident.
When you hit an enemy, you can expend one charge to deal an extra 2d6 lightning damage. You can also use an action to expend 1 to 5 charges to blast a lightning bolt as per the spell, except that the damage is 2d6 lightning damage per charge expended and the saving throw is DC15.
Proficiency with a Trident allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Topple. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 plus the ability modifier used to make the attack roll and your Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, the creature has the Prone condition.
Notes: Bonus: Magic, Damage: Lightning, Damage, Combat, Thrown, Versatile, Topple
