Wondrous Item, rare (requires attunement)

While this carved stone semblance of a cat's head is on your person, you gain a passive +1 bonus to ability checks and saving throws.

This item begins with 4 charges. These charges can be expended to create an effect similar to the Lucky feat; wherein whenever you make an attack roll, an ability check, or a saving throw, you can spend one charge to roll an additional d20. You can choose to spend one charge after you roll the die, but before the outcome is determined. You choose which of the d20s is used for the attack roll, ability check, or saving throw.

Additionally, if all 4 charges are spent at the same time, the amulet transforms into a cat named Fortune (with stats drawn from Basic Rules , pg. 121) for up to 1 minutes. Fortune can be controlled by you, takes its turn during yours, can move up to its walking distance, cannot attack, and may only use the Help action. All attacks against Fortune are always at disadvantage.

At the end of 1 minute, roll a d20. On 1, Fortune disappears with a hiss and the amulet is rendered broken and useless. On 2 through 19, Fortune disappears silently and the amulet remains intact, though completely depleted of charges. On a 20, Fortune disappears with a loud purring and the amulet remains intact, though with 1 charge. This roll cannot be affected by any modifiers.
