Although this appears as a shortsword in it's base form, this sword functions as any weapon if certain conditions are fulfilled. A weapon created by a wizard during his research into discovering how shapeshifting functioned, this weapon is actually made from the corpse of a metal slime. Much like a slime or a mimic, this weapon may imitate any weapon or shield that does not require moving parts to work, so long as it has consumed said weapon. The process of consumption takes roughly one day to do properly, and requires a DC to be made afterwards to see if the process is successful. If the roll made is equal to or greater than 10 plus the weapon's rarity (common is one, uncommon is two, rare is three, very rare is four, legendary is five). If the roll is successful, the object is destroyed and the weapon may now be imitated at will before any action takes place. If the roll is unsuccessful, the consumed weapon is instead unharmed and consumption may be attempted after another day has passed. If the weapon consumed has or had charges on it, the weapon will be treated as if they are all expended immediately after consuming said weapon. If the weapon can recharge said charges, the conditions for this are identical in the weapon's base form and will recharge in the base form. They will not be able to be used unless in the form that the weapon consumed was in. If the weapon consumed had attunement slots, these will only come into play once the sword is in said form, acting as if the weapon had already been attuned prior. If no attunement slots are available, the weapon's form cannot be used until one is available.
Proficiency with a Shortsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
Notes: Rather than taking up an attunement slot, this weapon instead temporarily uses an available one when being used in order to change shape, without proper attunement being necessary., Finesse, Light, Vex
