Hephaestus gave it to him when he was a child after Apollo asked for it, needing the bow and arrows to protect his mother, Leto, from Python. After receiving them, Apollo cornered Python in the sacred cave at Delphi. Apollo killed the monster but had to be punished for it since Python was a child of Gaea. Hence, he was exiled from Olympus for a long time. To this day he is still angry that he was exiled from Olympus.

Apollos Golden arrows: Hot arrows that explode on contact doing (2d6+2) fire damage.
If you shoot an arrow at another player you can expend a charge and heal that player for (4d8+4) health. You may also shoot any arrow anywhere, expend a charge and teleport to that spot. (30 feet-1 charge, 60 feet-2 charges, 90 feet-3 charges...etc).
Each new day when you first make an attack roll with this bow you must succeded on a DC 16 Dexterity saving throw or fall under Apollos Rage
Apollos Rage: If you succeed nothing happens. If you fail, every attack against you has the advantage for the next minute.
Proficiency with a Longbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.
