Sometimes a Surprisingly Sharp Wooden Sword has some special properties that only awaken when attuned to by a Ranger. The Arcane Wooden Sword acts as a normal shortsword while unattuned but deals 1d4 additional Slashing damage when attuned by a ranger. In addition, the weapon gains eight charges that you can use to activate one of the properties listed below per turn. These charges recharge daily at dawn or when you spend a Ranger spell slot of equal level on restoring them over a short rest.
1 Charge - Cast Shillelagh as a free action.
2 Charges - Change additional damage die to 1d6 until your next turn.
4 Charges - Gain +5 to your next attack.
Proficiency with a Shortsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
Notes: Damage: Slashing, By a Ranger, Finesse, Light, Vex
