Bestowed upon you by the comet that rocketed across the heavens. This blessing brings out your ancient ancestral blood that has been hiding deep within you.
Your ancestral Plume blood gives you the ability to transform into your Ancestral Form once per long rest and lasts for one hour. While in you Ancestral Form you have feathers growing from your skin, larger eyes, and weigh half as much. You still appear mostly Human in this hybrid form. While in this form you gain a bonus to your ability scores as well as the following features. You are also granted special spells associated with your new form that can only be used while in your hybrid form. These spells ignore material components, but do not ignore somatic or verbal components.
Ability Score Improvements while in Ancestral Form - Your Dexterity score increases by 2, and your Wisdom score increases by 1 temporarily.
Talons - Your talons are natural weapons, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with them, you deal slashing damage equal to 1d4 + your Strength modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike.
Mimicry - You can mimic sounds you have heard, including voices. A creature that hears the sounds you make can tell they are imitations with a successful Wisdom (Insight) check opposed by your Charisma (Deception) check.
While in Ancestral Form gain the following spells:
- True Strike - At-Will
- Thunderclap - At-Will
- Gust - At-Will
- Thunderwave (Con 15) - Encounter
- Fog Cloud - Encounter
- Storm Sphere (STR 18) - Daily
Once you reach level 5 you gain the opportunity to take on the true form of your ancestral blood forever. Assuming your True Ancestral Form takes a long rest and grants you one level of exhaustion after the rest. You cannot return to your previous form without the use of the Wish Spell or other divine intervention. You gain the ability score increase and other features permanently as well as gain a flight speed of 50ft. Your True Ancestral Form appears much taller and slimmer than your human form. You are covered in feathers and you have wings sprouting from your back. Your wings can collapse down small enough to be hidden under most clothing. You have talons on your hands and feet. You have a beak and your eyes are pitch black as well.
