Amulet of Tharizdun

Description

A medium-sized silver amulet. There is a small double door on the front that can be opened to reveal a red-glowing crystal. The closed doors complete a small picture of a black spiral.

When the double door is opened, all magical effects within a 2500 ft. radius become distorted until the doors are closed again by the wearer. This leads to random magical effects or no magical effects occuring at all within the radius.

Once the double door is closed, it cannot be opened for another moon cycle.

Curse

The wearer or person who opened the door takes damage everytime somebody tries to cast a spell within the 2500 ft. radius.

Damage per Spelllevel

• 0-2 = 2d6 + Spellcasting modifier of caster
• 3-5 = 5d8 + 2x Spellcasting modifier of caster
• 6-8 = 8d10 + 3x Spellcasting modifier of caster
• 9 = 9d12 + 4x Spellcasting modifier of caster
