This lightweight (1 lb/0.5 kg) silver amulet looks suspiciously like a snake eating its own tail in the shape of infinity. Sorcerers, Clerics, and other magic users tend to back away from it instinctively, as do any fae creatures, good or evil, that depend on magic. It protects its wearer from magical consequences by:
1. preventing the attuned wearer from being the target of any spell. This includes multi-target spells (e.g. Mass Healing Word). However, the wearer may be affected by indirect consequences (e.g. Scorching Ray would deal damage to the wearer, but Eldrich Blast would not) of area-of-affect spells.
2. reducing all magical damage from weapons to zero. This includes any Paladin spells and any divine bonuses on god-forged weapons.
3. preventing the wearer from casting spells while wearing the Amulet of Magical Negation regardless of class or race. If a wearer requires magic to use a specific racial power, they may not use such a power while the Amulet of Magical Negation is equipped.
