Weapon (rifle, hunting), uncommon

It is a rare sight to witness an Arcane Rifle in combat, but a delightful one. Blue sparks fly when the shot hits, a blue muzzle flash signifying that even the wildest fantasies of artificers can come to life. This magic weapon gains +1 to attack and damage rolls made with it. It has the two handed and heavy properties. On a hit, it deals 1d12 piercing damage and the piece of ammunition vanishes. In the same time another piece of ammunition is created in the chamber of the gun. This weapon requres no extra ammunition, thus ignoring the loading property. It also has a unique magical ablility:

Channeling Force: You can expend a 1st. level spell slot to turn the damage of the weapon into force damage for 10 minutes.

It’s up to you to decide whether a character has proficiency with a firearm. Characters in most D&D worlds wouldn’t have such proficiency. During their downtime, characters can use the training rules in the Player’s Handbook to acquire proficiency, assuming that they have enough ammunition to keep the weapons working while mastering their use.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.

Notes: Range, Two-Handed, Ammunition (Firearms), Reload, Slow
