Ring of the Evil Eye

While wearing this ring you feel as if something is watching over you. While wearing the ring you absorb some of a defeated foes dying essence. 
You regain 2d4 after landing a killing blow of being within 10ft of a dying creature. 

Curse. This ring is cursed, a fact that is revealed only when an identify spell is cast on the ring or you attune to it. Attuning to the ring curses you until you are targeted by the remove curse spell or similar magic; removing the ring fails to end the curse. While cursed, you take double damage from all sources.

This ring captured the foul spirit of an evil eye, a creature that ravaged a distant city. The horrid spirit nearly destroyed the city, but was eventually defeated by "the sword of one most noble." 
Although defeated and trapped within the ring, it feels as though one is being watched while wearing the ring.
