It is said that this Greatsword once belonged to Merlin and is believed to be Excalibur. It is also said that it is one of the 3 swords in the world that the hilt was forged using a bone fragment from the king of dragons, Bahamut.
Attunement. The sword allows you to attune to it immediately, without having to take a short rest. While you are attuned to this sword the holy energy that radiates from it creates a visible humming sound and sensation. You only feel and notice this the first time you become attuned to it. Any creatures friendly or hostile can feel and see this sensation.
Holy Resistance. You have resistance to necrotic and radiant damage.
Holy Presence. Your Charisma score becomes 20, unless it is already 20 or higher.
Holy Intuition. Your eyes become luminous pools of silver. You can see in normal and magical darkness, automatically detect visual illusions and succeed on saving throws against them, and perceive a shape changer or a creature that is transformed by magic but can not tell the original form of the creature, all within a range of 60 feet. You also gain advantage on all Wisdom (Insight) checks.
Holy Light. The sword sheds bright light in a 5-foot radius and dim light for an additional 5 feet. Fiends find the sword’s light disconcerting and painful, even if they can’t see it, and have disadvantage on attack rolls made within the weapon’s radius of bright light.
As a bonus action, you can intensify the sword’s light, causing it to shed bright light in a 15-foot radius and dim light for an additional 15 feet, or reduce its glow to its normal intensity.
Holy Smite. The sword deals an extra 16 (3d10) radiant damage. An evil creature that takes this radiant damage must succeed on a DC 17 Constitution saving throw or be blinded until the end of its next turn.
Sentience. The Sword Amoracchius is a sentient, lawful good item with an Intelligence of 10, a Wisdom of 20, and a Charisma of 18. It has hearing and normal vision out to a range of 30 feet. It cannot speak but will communicate by transmitting emotion to the creature carrying or wielding it.
Personality. In order to attune to the sword your alignment must stay Lawful Good. You also gain personality traits listed below. If your alignment changes you lose attunement to the sword. You lose the following benefits; Holy Resistance, Holy Presence, Holy Intuition, Holy Light, and Holy Smite. If the wielder loses attunement, the sentient being within the sword can still communicate with the wielder.
Any other creature holding/carrying the sword will not be able to communicate with Amoracchius unless they come attuned to it.
Personality Traits Grained.
- I often quote religious texts.
- All creatures are capable of change for the better.
- I would die for those who fight beside me, regardless of their faults.
- I offer forgiveness too readily.
Destroying the Sword. Amoracchius is a holy sword used to dispel evil. It is a symbol of the Bahamut's justice and fairness to all creatures. If the attuned wielder is using the sword for their own benefit and gain, they will lose attunement. If the alignment changes from Lawful Good to any Evil alignment the sword loses it's power and can be destroyed with great ease.
Proficiency with a Greatsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Graze. If your attack roll with this weapon misses a creature, you can deal damage to that creature equal to the ability modifier you used to make the attack roll. This damage is the same type dealt by the weapon, and the damage can be increased only by increasing the ability modifier.
Notes: Resistance: Radiant, Resistance: Necrotic, Set: Charisma Score, Damage: Radiant, Advantage: Insight, Sense: Truesight, creature the sword deems worthy (lawful good), Damage, Buff, Combat, Sentient, Focus, Heavy, Two-Handed, Graze
