this item has three charges
At the start of your turn you may spend a charge and declare to enter the Anguish of the infinite.
when ever you hit a target with a weapon attack or cantrip you take damage equal to your proficiency modifier, you must roll again targeting the same creature. a critical hit causes this effect to double.
All additional attacks generated by this item must be spent attacking the original target.
This process must be resolved. If there is no valid target you take double damage for each attack you was unable to resolve.
if this process reduces your character to zero hit points you instantly fail on death saving throw.
Notes: Allowing the black pines of this infernal crown to dig into your psyche allows you to bond and attune with it.
