This simple spear contains the wonders of the Marid within it.
When not attuned to this weapon, the user treats all rolls as if they were using a +1 trident.
When attuned to this weapon, the user can choose to use either CHA or STR for the attack rolls made. It functions like a normal +1 trident, but can deal either Magical Slashing or Cold damage upon a hit. All attacks made with this weapon while attuned function as if the user is proficient with them.
This trident, when thrown, magically returns to the attacker after 1d4 rounds of combat.
Proficiency with a Trident allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Topple. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 plus the ability modifier used to make the attack roll and your Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, the creature has the Prone condition.
