Wondrous Item, uncommon
These crystal lenses fit over the eyes. While wearing them, you can see much better than normal out to a range of 1 foot. You have advantage on Intelligence (Investigation) checks that rely on sight while searching an area or studying an object within that range.
Notes: Advantage: Investigation, Detection, Utility, Eyewear

Posted Mar 28, 2021They wouldn't. The item states "While wearing them, you can see much better than normal..."
Sadly, the blind character cannot see normally. They can't see at all. You could argue that the blind person is picking something up, maybe feeling it out, etc. But these crystal lenses are meant to aid visually, something a blind person cannot benefit from.

Posted Aug 16, 2025You could rule that 'normal' is sighted vision causing the character to be able to see very well but only up to 1 foot. For a blind character you could rule that while wearing the goggles the crystal lenses vibrate as an echolocation function.
