Weapon (greatsword), artifact (requires attunement by a Attunement by a non-good creature)

The Apateon is a magic, sentient greatsword that grants a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with it. It scores a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20, and deals an extra 4d6 slashing damage.

If the sword isn't bathed in blood within 1 minute of being drawn from its scabbard, its wielder must make a DC 21 Charisma saving throw. On a successful save, the wielder takes 4d6 psychic damage. On a failed save, the wielder is dominated by the sword, as if by the dominate monster spell, and the sword demands that it be bathed in blood. The spell effect ends when the sword's demand is met.

Proficiency with a Greatsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Graze. If your attack roll with this weapon misses a creature, you can deal damage to that creature equal to the ability modifier you used to make the attack roll. This damage is the same type dealt by the weapon, and the damage can be increased only by increasing the ability modifier.
